Amazing new technology….122/365

Clearing out the loft, we find these treasured mini-discs, from the day we converted all our music to modern technology. The Cure, New Order, all the greats…. Gosh, how cutting edge we were.

Let this be a reminder of the never-ending tech-upgrade….

Jarhead: 101/365

Jars on the windowsill. I like the glass and the catches on the lids.

If you go down to the garden today….96/365

…you might see Charlotte’s Web strung across the dying fronds of summer flowers.

A good pour: 93/365

bottle and foregrounded glass of wineIn the office by 7.30am.

Power-worked through until lunch.

Took kids cycling.

Visited library.

Ten grizzelenia trees planted in arid, back-breaking soil.

Broke up three arguments.

Ignored five tantrums.

Tidied up.

Cooked dinner.

Two loads of washing.

Children bathed, read to and put to bed with kiss and song.

America’s Next Top Model.

A curry.

And a well-deserved glass of the red stuff. At last…..

Can you read backwards?: 86/365

This shot was inspired by me looking for images that represent ‘Home’ as part of the April Megapixel challenge (see blogroll).  This two words sit high on the top of a wall that divides two rooms, and they can be viewed from both sides. The flash has made them look more stark and striking than in reality – but I like that.

eek! What we found behind the fridge:77/365

How often do you clean behind your fridge? For us, clearly not often enough.

For the non-New Zealanders, this is a weta (not very alive, though) about 3 inches long. Just a baby.

Nice contrast with the shiny bead, I feel…

I got my kicks on…Route 23: 39/365

Bus blindLove this bus blind.

We think it was probably from Route 23, around Warwick Avenue, Edgware Rd flyover, Maida Vale and Elgin Avenue. Happy days when we were courtin’, all around the now-much-altered North Westminster Community School where we worked.

This old bus blind remind us of those places of the first date, pub crawls and great curries afterwards. Happy days.

Feels nice under my feet: 35/365

Our new carpetAfter 6 months of spilling paint and god knows what all over the 30 year old carpet, we finally get a new one fitted. Bliss for the toes.
